Tears on My Pillow/Go Ahead and Cry

"Crying doesn't indicate you are weak. Since birth, it has always been a sign that you're alive."
This is so true. People are always so ashamed to cry, but you shouldn't be. It's natural. Did you know most people have an unlimited, constantly-replenishing source of tears. So basically it's impossible to run out of tears. Crying makes you feel better. I read in the latest edition of Women's Health that crying gets a bad rap, especially when the crier is a woman. Studies show that men are viewed sympathetically when they cry, while women are often labeled dramatic, irrational, or manipulative. Crying gives you clarity. Sometimes our vision only clears once washed with tears.
Crying has valuable mental and physical benefits. Tears banish stress hormones such as cortisol as well as other toxins that accumulate when we feels stressed. Crying is our natural, built-in healing system. While some people view crying as weak, it can also bring you closer to people. It's one of the thing that sets us apart from other species. It's what makes us human. It's what makes us real.
Facts about Crying
*30 to 64= Number of times a year the average woman cries. Men cry an average of six to 17 times annually.
*2 to 3 milliliters= Average amount of tears people produce every day.
*60= Percentage more of the hormone prolactin women have compared with men. Researchers believe it makes women more prone to crying.
