#20 Dye My Hair Little Mermaid Red 8/4/11

The Girl Whose Hair Was On Fire

#20 Dye My Hair Little Mermaid Red
I am so in love with my hair right now.
I wish I really was a mermaid princess.
Everyone has been receptive and leaving me the sweetest compliments about my hair.
I've never had such a thing happen when my hair was blonde or brown.
I guess red is my color! Everyone is loving it.
I must give credit to my darling sister McHale.
My mom was a cosmetologist and taught my sister how to color hair so my sister does a fabulous job always!
I wish I could pull off the red hair as stunningly as Kate Walsh, Liz Lee,  and Hayley Williams, but I think it looks decent on me.
What do you think lovelies?
I adore you all! If you have red hair I'd love to see it! Post a comment/send a picture of it!

#36 Go to Prom 5/3/08

#36 Go to Prom
I went to my senior prom with my boyfriend (now ex) Sam. We had a wonderful time. We danced the night away and had a fancy dinner and it was a lovely time. I don't remember much about it other than it was great. After I ended things with Sam, a little more than a year ago, I destroyed some of my journal entries involving him. I just wanted to forget it all and not be haunted by the fact that I recorded nearly every detail and it was right there in front of me. I wasn't thinking clearly and wish I hadn't done that. Luckily I didn't rip out and throw away very much. It's like when some people break up and tear pictures of them to pieces. You always regret that a little bit. I have pictures saved from prom though!

#13 Go to the Mall of America 11/20/06

#13 Go to the Mall of America 11/20/2006
The most amazing mall in America!

My family and I at the Mall of America in front of the Rainforest Cafe.

This is the mall of all malls. It was seriously incredible. It was also overwhelming because there is so much to see and do! Not only are there hundreds of stores, there is also an amusement park, a high school, a wedding chapel, and more. The best part is there is no sales tax! I loved it.
Here are some facts about the MOA.
  • .57 miles is the walking distance around one level of Mall of America
  • 8 acres of skylights allow about 70% of the natural light to enter the Mall
  • 4 out of 10 visitors to Mall of America are tourists
  • 4.3 miles of total store front footage
  • 7 Yankee Stadiums can fit inside the Mall
  • 25 rides and attractions in Nickelodeon Universe
  • 32 Boeing 747s could fit inside the Mall
  • 65 semi trucks were needed to transport trees to the theme park to create the outdoor feel of an indoor park
  • 70 degrees inside Mall of America whether its spring, summer, winter or fall
  • 86 hours is the length of time it would take to complete your visit to the Mall if you were to spend just 10 minutes in each store
  • 100+ pounds of food are fed daily to animals at Underwater Adventures Aquarium - plus 90 extra pounds on the days the sharks are fed
  • 258 Statues of Liberty could lie inside the Mall
  • 400+ events are held at Mall of America each year
  • 520+ stores are located in Mall of America
  • 5,000+ weddings have been performed at Mall of America
  • 11,000 year-round employees at Mall of America (13,000 during peak periods)
  • 12,550 on-site parking spaces at Mall of America in two ramps
  • 30,000+ live plants and 400 live trees climbing as high as 35 feet tall in Nickelodeon Universe®
  • 32,000+ tons of trash recycled each year
  • 170,000+ Legos have been lost in the LEGO play area
  • 1.2 million-gallon aquarium at Underwater Adventures Aquarium
  • 4.2 million square feet of gross building area
  • 40 million visitors annually which is more than the combined populations of North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa...and Canada
  • 130+ million number of rides in the park since opening
  • $650+ million cost to build
  • Nearly $2 billion Mall of America generates in economic activity annual for the state of Minnesota

#40 Fly (Skydiving) 9/17/2010

#40 Fly (Skydiving) 9/17/2010
The biggest rush you will ever feel in your life! I can now say I jump out of planes! It is indescribable. One of the best things I've ever experiences. I jumped out of a plane 12,000 feet in the air above Utah with some super nice skydiving friends: Beau Howell, Garrett, Bryan, Sadie Armstrong, Heidi Black, Jaclyn Parsons, and Tyler Allen (ex stepbrother). We defied gravity baby! I couldn't stop smiling. Nothing can compare to the intensity and adventure of skydiving. It's so worth it!

 If you're a bird, Imma bird :)

You jump, I jump

Go to http://www.skydiveogden.com/ if you want to skydive where we went in Ogden, Utah. They are all super friendly over there, and the prices are reasonable. I know it sounds scary, I was scared, but I promise you will not regret it if you try!

http://www.skydiveogden.com/faqs.html This link also has a detailed FAQ (frequently asked questions) that detail everything and answer any questions you may have!

There are also other places around the world, I can imagine, where you can go skydiving. Take advantage of it and you will have an experience unlike any other :)

#28 Donate Blood 2/16/10

#10 Donate Blood 2/16/10

Donating blood was an incredible experience. I would recommend it to everyone. To me it felt amazing knowing I was giving part of me to potentially save someone's life. You can't get that feeling from anything else. I was scared that it would hurt, but I didn't even feel the needle and was pain free. I was a little dizzy for a few days afterwards, but I didn't drink enough or eat before I went so be sure to do that. And you get to find out your blood type if you didn't know it before (I didn't). Note: I'm B positive :) Fits me well I say ;)
Here are some facts about blood needs from the Red Cross:
-Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood

-More than 38,000 blood donations are needed everyday.

-One out of every ten people admitted in a hospital need blood.

-Total blood transfusions given in a year: 14 million.

-The average red blood cell transfusion is 3 pints.

-A single car accident victim can require up to 100 pints of blood!

-Cancer patients sometimes need blood during chemotherapy.

-The number of transfusions is growing faster than donations.

-ONE DONATION CAN SAVE UP TO THREE LIVES!

If you want inspiration, go donate blood. You will feel so wonderful just knowing you are helping people and saving lives. The need is extreme. Make a difference. You never know if someone you love (family, friends, etc) may need blood someday and hopefully they will get it because a stranger took an hour to go donate that blood.
I can't wait to donate blood next. I want to do so for the rest of my life!
If you want more information on donating blood visit this website. It will answer all of your questions and explain step by step every detail of the donation process.
There are many blood drives happening everyday in places all around the world held by the Red Cross. Visit this website to find a schedule on where to donate in your community :)

#9 Meet Jesse McCartney with Aubrey 8/28/07

#9 Meet Jesse McCartney with Aubrey 8/28/07
I'm going to begin this entry with an explanation of how this all came to pass... so Aubrey (one of my best friends) and I loved Jesse McCartney. He was the Justin Bieber of our childhood. She entered a fan club of his and entered a contest to win meet and greet tickets.

We were on vacation in Oregon during the summer of 2007 when she got a phone call. Here is how I describe it in my journal entry on that day.
"OMW! OMW! OMW! Aubrey won 2 meet and greet passes to meet Jesse McCartney in Washington on August 28! We are meeting Jesse! AHHHH! OMW! I am so excited! That will be the best day of our lives! Meet Jesse McCartney is on my list of things to do before I die! This is a once in a lifetime thing! Our fortunes were right when they said good luck was coming our way. My hands are basically shaking because of how happy I am! I will ALWAYS remember when we were checking into our hotel in Astoria, Oregon when Aub got the call that she won the backstage passes. The concert is in Monroe, Washington--that's at the top of Washington near Canada. Oh my I am the luckiest girl alive! I can't believe it's real! I'm going to be missing my first day of my senior year in high school but I don't care, this was meant to be, and I wouldn't trade it! I feel like I'm dreaming!"
 Aubrey, Jesse, and me.
Aubrey and I holding our tickets Jesse autographed.
Here is the entry of my journal for the day we met Jesse :)
"I had butterflies. They led us all down this ramp and along the side of a white tent. There was a lady who was Jesse's manager. She began to talk to us and we told her we drove here from Pocatello, Idaho which was about 13 hours away. She declared us Jesse's fan club presidents and we told her about how meeting Jesse was on our list of things to do before we died and that I was missing the first three days of my senior year of high school. She thought it was an amazing story and shared it with just about everyone in line and all of the staff members of Jesse, and they all thought it was awesome. Everyone was so nice!
Well the line moved pretty fast and before we knew it we turned the corner of the tent and saw our first glimpse of Jesse up close! It was indescribable! My face lit up! He's so cute!
Jesse turned and looked at us and smiled. We talked up to him and introduced ourselves. He stuck out his hand and shook mine and then hers. He said, 'Hi girls! Nice to meet you!' And this guy took Brie's camera and Jesse put his arms around us. We got our picture taken with him! Jesse's hair was longer and cute. His smile was so white and beautiful. He was gorgeous. He had a bad complexion up close, but it was awesome because it just proved he's normal and isn't perfect. He's just an average person with incredible talent. I felt so normal and not nervous around him at all. He was so nice. I touched Jesse and he touched me! That was such a dreamlike experience. I can't believe it!
Brie and I were about to leave when we noticed that the person who took a picture of us actually hadn't taken a picture! He hadn't pushed the button hard enough. We were freaking out, but the manager let us back in line and we got to re-meet Jesse. He autographed our tickets on his knee this time. I apologized and he was just so happy and had a huge smile and insisted it was fine and don't be sorry. He wrapped his arms around us and we took the picture and it worked this time. Jesse was so sweet and cuter in person (if that's possible). I never imagined he'd actually be as nice as he was.
The picture was taken at exactly 6:57 P.M.
It was amazing meeting him because he was so happy and down to earth. He didn't act any better than anyone else. He didn't act better than me. He acted excited to meet me. He was sweet. His smile instantly made me smile. I'll call it the "Jesse Effect". He wasn't trying to rush us at all. He really does love his fans. I'm so glad I was blessed to meet him. I respect him so much. Jesse really is a sweetheart and deserves every penny he earns.
I am going to look at these pictures whenever I feel sad or discouraged or unsure or hopeless. I can look at it and remember how happy I was and how I met Jesse McCartney even though I thought it was impossible. Anything you want can be achieved if you never give up. I know anything is possible if you're dedicated and believe hard enough. Dreams can come true.
I have to put this quote in from my Quotebook because it reminds me of Jesse. 'I love it when you look at me because I know for just one moment I crossed your mind.' I wonder what Jesse thought when he saw me. I may never know, but I know I did cross his mind.
My life has been a fairytale. I am so blessed and fortunate. I've done, seen and accomplished so much, and the year isn't even finished. There is so much more possible, and I have so many dreams and things to do and see. This summer was amazing. I am a blessed girl. I am happy. I love life. I intend to make each day count."

#38 Swing on a rope swing 10/19/10

#38 Swing on a rope swing
10/19/10
I met this boy Aiden (name changed for privacy & because this person is no longer a part of my life) in Blackfoot so we could hang out. It was like a second date, I guess. I don't know my way around there. He took me to Jensen's Grove to walk around the lake/river/pond/reservoir/whatever-name-for-that-small-body-of-water at sunset. So it was all perfect movie moment. He tried to teach me how to skip a rock (unsuccessfully because I couldn't do it haha). We walked around the loop outside the lake, and he had previously heard about my list. Aiden decided he was determined to find a rope swing to accomplish #38 from my list. Sure enough, he found one! It was very flattering that he did that. It was cute how excited he got about the moment, like he never did things like this or cared about a girl like he did me...
I got on the rope swing, and Aiden pushed me and span me around till we were both unbelievably dizzy. We were laughing like little kids. It was a blast. I told him to stop but he wouldn't for a while. I promised I'd get him for that. He stopped and when I slowed down, I jumped off the swing determined to get him. So I started running towards him and fell down each time because I was so dizzy everything was spinning. He and I laughed so hard. He said I was like a drunk girl walking out of a bar. By the time I steadied myself and the world was back to normal, I told him it was his turn. He hopped on the swing and I pushed him around and wouldn't stop. Then he got off and fell like I did. Seriously, so much fun! We felt like kids and ran around the park, going down the slides and climbing on the playground toys without a care in the world. The kids who were there looked at us like we were crazy haha which it was in a good way.
Another sweet moment was when Aiden got all excited to cross #38 off of my list. He wanted to be the one to do it. I had my list with me. He took a pen and crossed it out. Then he kissed me. And then he talked about how we were going to accomplish the other things from my list (which will never happen now). I will never forget swinging on a rope swing and the story behind it.

Project Wish

This is my list :) I sincerely believe everyone should make a list like this. And I think people should put whatever their hearts desire or their biggest dreams and wishes. The impossible is possible. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "We are always getting ready to live but never living." So make a list and make the effort to accomplish everything on it. It's incredibly satisfying. You should set your goals beyond what you believe your reach is so you always have something to live for. And when times get tough and you feel hopeless, look at that list and get hopeful.
--->I'm gonna make bold the one's I've accomplished and put the date by them.
HELP WANTED...This is my list and I'd love help accomplishing things by any of you!!!

I challenge everyone to make a list! And be committed to accomplishing it.
