this post is dedicated to my wonderful great-grandpa Fenton Briggs 1922-2012
He was a kind, hardworking man who flew planes in WW2.
He met my great-grandma Elsie [his sweetheart] soon after
They fell in love, got married, & will live happily ever after.
Their love inspires me. It's rare but it's out there.
Their lives weren't always full of sunshine and happiness. They had hard times and trials. Nothing could come between them though. They let the difficulties bring them together. They put one another first and were selfless. That is true love. They loved each other unconditionally and endured it all together. It reminds me of Allie & Noah in "The Notebook"
Love like that can do anything you want it to.
As Noah said best, "It's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me."
Falling in love is easy. In today's fast paced world we want things to be instantaneous. That will lead to failure. You have to commit yourself to staying in love each and everyday. Love is the best thing in the world. If you find it, find the one, never ever let them go or take it for granted. Love makes two people become one. It inspires you to be the best you. Two is better than one.
You can have what Allie & Noah have.
Your love story is possible.
It won't be easy. Nothing worthwhile is easy.
It will ALWAYS be worth it though.
That being said... For those who haven't found "the one" or love yet... don't lose hope. However, life is too precious to be wasted on waiting for love. Love will find you. To find someone you love, you have to be someone to love. Love yourself and get out there and make life count! Be happy on your own. Life is full of adventures and dreams and possibilities and opportunities! Run to them and never let go.
