Destiny vs Fate (Everything Happens for a Reason)

I've always wondered the difference between fate and destiny...

The dictionary defines them as...

*DESTINY- 1. The inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or think is destined.

2. A predetermined course of events considered as something beyond human power or control.

3. The power or agency thought to predetermine events.

Destiny brought them together.

*FATE- 1. a) The supposed force, principle, or power that predetermines events.

b) The inevitable events predestined by this force.

2. A final result or consequence, an outcome.

Fate keeps on happening.

The way I see it is destiny is real-er than anything. A force that can cross oceans, fly, time travel, is invisible, has superpowers, bring two people who are meant to be together no matter what. I feel like God made everyone a soul mate who holds the other half of our hearts, and we won't be complete until we are together. I believe destiny and love are interlinked and the most powerful, magical forces we are blessed with.

However, I think once you are brought together, you have to work at it everyday to stay together. Fate can be good or bad, helpful or hurtful. Sometimes it will try to tear you apart as will forces that are less powerful but ever present. The best things in life don't come free. What's worthwhile is never easy but ALWAYS worth it, and if you truly love each other and stay together as one, always putting the other first unconditionally doing what is right and with God's help, you can make it through hell and back. You can be together forever. If you are meant to be, nothing can break or tears you apart unless you let it.
